KP Govt facilitating youth toward engineering education – Pakistan Observer

The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has embarked upon special initiatives and reforms geared towards facilitating the youth towards engineering education. The credit goes to the Minister for Higher Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kamran Khan Bangash for taking a lead for bringing the deserving and talented youth in engineering education net, who because of financial constraints were not be able to apply for admissions in the public and private sector engineering universities Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Khan had signed the summary of meeting chaired by Kamran Bangash, Minister for Higher Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa held earlier. The meeting was attended by Secretary Higher Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dawood Khan, the Vice Chancellors of public sector universities including UET Peshawar, UET Mardan, University of Swat and ETEA officials.

It was decided to reduce the ETEA registration test fee from Rs. 2500/- to Rs. 500/- for admission to the public and private sector engineering universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and there will be no negative marks for the incorrect answers from 2022 -23 onwards. It was also decided to reduce the number of MCQs from 200 to 100. The duration of test is two hours. The ETEA test will be held on 21 st August 2022 across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while the last date for online registration is 15th August, 2022.
