Pakistan registers 141 new COVID-19 cases – Xinhua

ISLAMABAD, April 8 (Xinhua) — Pakistan on Thursday registered 141 new COVID-19 cases and no more deaths from the disease, the ministry of health said on Friday.

According to data released by the ministry, the overall tally of COVID-19 cases has risen to 1,526,234 in the Asian country, including 1,486,650 recoveries.

Currently there are 9,223 active cases in the country, including 280 patients who are in critical condition.

Pakistan’s southern Sindh province is the most affected region in terms of the number of cases, with 576,110 infections recorded in total, followed by the eastern Punjab province which has reported 505,307 cases so far. ?
