Pakistan registers 148 new COVID-19 cases-Xinhua – Xinhua

ISLAMABAD, April 6 (Xinhua) — Pakistan on Tuesday reported 148 new COVID-19 cases and no death was recorded during the day, the country’s ministry of health said on Wednesday.

According to the data released by the ministry, the country’s overall tally of COVID-19 cases has risen to 1,525,923, including 1,486,464 recoveries.

There are 9,098 active cases in the country, including 310 patients in critical condition.

Pakistan’s southern Sindh province is the most affected region in terms of the number of cases, with 575,949 infections, followed by the eastern Punjab province which has reported 505,224 cases so far. ■
