Pakistan confirms 285 new COVID-19 cases, 1 more death – Xinhua

ISLAMABAD, April 3 (Xinhua) — Pakistan on Saturday registered 285 new COVID-19 cases and one more death, the ministry of health said on Sunday.

According to data released by the ministry, the total tally of COVID-19 cases has risen to 1,525,466, including 1,486,113 recoveries.

There are currently 8,992 active cases in the country, including 365 COVID-19 patients in critical condition.

The ministry added that one more person died from COVID-19 on Saturday, bringing the death toll to 30,361.

Pakistan’s southern Sindh province is the most affected region in terms of the number of cases, with 575,683 infections recorded in total, followed by the eastern Punjab province which has reported 505,127 cases so far. ?
