The Philippine government has placed Pakistan under yellow list or moderate risk from green list or low risk from January 1 to 15, 2022 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Malaca?ang said Friday.

Acting presidential spokesperson Karlo Nograles made the announcement a day after he announced that six areas have been placed under the red list or high risk namely Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia and Spain from January 1 to 15, 2022.

Travelers from countries under the yellow list are allowed to enter the Philippines provided they show a negative RT-PCR test upon arrival, subject themselves to mandatory seven-day facility-based quarantine for seven days, with the RT-PCR test to be taken on the fifth day of quarantine.

Those who tested negative will finish the rest of the 14-day quarantine at home.

Travelers from red list countries, on the other hand, will not be allowed entry to the Philippines, except if they are on board overseas Filipino workers repatriation flights organized by the Philippine government and other private partners.

The Philippines has recorded at least four cases of the more transmissible Omicron variant so far, and the COVID-19 positivity rate has breached the ideal 5% mark set by the World Health Organization.–AOL, GMA News
