Jugnu Mohsin convoy attacked by assailants in Okara. Armed men assaulted Punjab Assembly MPA Jugnu Mohsin in Okara district of Pakistan on Sunday, media reports said on Tuesday.

As per the FIR, Mohsin was getting back from the Jhujh Kalan region in Okara after an assembly when outfitted men waylaid her vehicle and started shooting at it.

The suspects escaped from the spot.

Government Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen Mazari scrutinized the episode and tweeted: ” Shocking and condemnable. Guilty parties should be gotten and managed stringently under the law. Totally unsuitable. This is psychological oppression.”

 

Journalist Najam Sethi commented: ” Yesterday Jugnu Mohsin’s adversaries in PP184 Okara terminated on her parade. Say thanks to Allah she was safe. However, her application for NOC for Armored vehicle documented in 2019 was rejected as of late without allocating reason by Int Min. Who will be mindful on the off chance that she is harmed.

The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan denounced the occurrence and posted: “HRCP unequivocally censures the assault on columnist and author Jugnu Mohsin. We are alleviated that she is protected. The culprits should be brought to book right away.”

 

Acquittal International said: “PAKISTAN: The assault on parliamentarian Jugnu Mohsin is a glaring token of the requirement for specialists to follow up on dangers made against ladies on the web. A quick, fair-minded and free examination should be promptly led to deal with those dependable.”
